What’s New In Frambie 2013

Ray Beh, Founder | Frambie

2012 was an exiting year for us and we believe that 2013 is even greater. To give our customers surprise and more values this year, we have made massive updates on Frambie.com.

The New Frambie

New Photo Framing & Printing Experience

We have revamped major interface and site navigation of frambie.com. Besides that, product categories have been re-organized to make personalized photo framing and canvas printing more easy and convenient for every customer.

A Responsive Frambie Website
Responsive Web Design

We adopted responsive web design technology to the new Frambie website to provide greater picture framing and printing experience. It is not only mobile friendly, but also tablet friendly. Now, you can simply frame your picture or turn your picture to canvas print through your iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy Phones and even Samsung Galaxy Camera.

One-Stop Service with Photo Printing

Photo Printing
Traditionally, to print and frame your favourite picture, you have to travel to printing shop and get the frame from frame store. The process is always time consuming which involves searching, travelling, waiting and picking up product yourself. We understand your problem. Therefore, we extended our services to picture printing to help you saving your time and work. You can now print & frame your favourite picture or digital art directly on Frambie. Customize the frame according to your taste and upload your photo to us, we will print & frame it, then delivery it to your doorstep.

New & Lower Product Price

low-price
As you know, Frambie focuses on personalized and good quality wall décor at a low price. In 2013, we have new product pricing for both picture frame and canvas print. And of course, it is cheaper now, up to 50% cheaper than the 2012’s price. Therefore, you save more when printing and framing your favourite picture with Frambie.

More Products with Greater Personalization

New Frame Profiles

We know customers love personalized products, especially the products with special meaning. This year, we have increased the number of frame profile. It means you have more designs to choose, not only to frame your memorable picture, but also matching it to your interior design. Besides that, for greater customization, the mounting color has been increased to 5 colors. You can choose Deep Red, Deep Cream, Ice White, Dove Grey and Twilight Blue for your picture mount.

Safety Acrylic Glazing, Safer Than Glass

Crystal Clear Acrylic Glass
Effective from 30th January 2013, all Frambie’s frames will use crystal clear acrylic glass. Acrylic glass is safe and shatter-resistant than normal glass. It will not shatter into thousands of sharp pieces if you drop it. Therefore, it’s much safer to use especially when you have children in home. The acrylic glass is lighter than normal glass too, making it easier to hang and carry around. It is more expansive than normal glass, and the good news is – we don’t increase the product price.

Faster Delivery
Delivery

We found the way. Online-based picture framing and canvas printing process is faster now. We have reduced the production lead time to as fast as 3 days. Therefore, you can receive your favourite wall décor product earlier and get ready to hang it in your home or office.

We wouldn’t stop here. We keep improving ourselves to become the best in picture framing & canvas printing and there are more to come. Join us on Facebook and stay tuned for our coming updates.

How To Create A Zip File

Ray Beh, Founder | Frambie

Creating Zip Files is a way of compressing multiple files into a single file so they are a smaller size and all in one location.

To create a zip file:

1. Click the File icon at the bottom left corner of the screen and highlight whichever files you would like to compress by clicking and dragging your cursor over them.

2. Once the files are highlighted, right-click with your mouse, which will prompt a menu. Click on Send to, which will prompt another sub-menu. Click on Compressed (zipped) folder (top of list) and a Compressing window will pop up showing a green progress bar.

3. You will see a folder icon with a zipper on it. This is your zip file. Click on this file and see a list of your specified files. This function is particularly useful when having to e-mail a large number of files to someone. For example, if you wanted to send 200 photos to a friend, you can compress all 200 jpegs into a single zip file and send them that way.

TEDxKL

This year, the 4th TEDxKL showcases top presenters of their respective field, passion sharing the needs for Malaysia and her people. TEDx KL was held on the 14 July 2012. The theme of the conference is “Interdependence”. The awesome event was attended by more than 800 audience. And, Frambie is glad to be part of  it, supplying our museum quality picture frames to the event.

Tokens of appreciation were given out to the speakers and sponsors during the last session of the event. It was hand drew posters designed by a creative illustrator, Bernadette Quah. All the hand drew posters were framed in Matte Black Wooden Frame equipped with Anti-glare glass. The matching of the hand drew posters and our frames is so perfect. The frames have greatly enhanced the visual sensation of the posters, becoming very beautiful and high class appreciation tokens.

Lastly, thank you again TEDxKL organizer for choosing our frames and supporting local startup. It was truly a great honor to be part of the event!

Bubble Level Apps To Balance Your Frames

Ray Beh, Founder | Frambie

Hanging picture frame with accurate tilt angle requires the support from bubble level, also called as Spirit Level, an instrument designed to indicate whether a surface is horizontal (level) or vertical (plumb).

Bubble Level

But, what if you don’t have a bubble level? Don’t worry, you can use the smart phone.

There are plenty of Bubble Level Apps for you to download in the mobile apps market, what you need to do is just search Bubble Level, download and install it.

How to Use Bubble Level Apps

After installing the hook and hanging the frame on the wall, it is time to use the bubble level application to adjust the alignment.

Step1: Launch the app on your phone and stick it to any edge of your frame just like the image below.

Step 2: Then, move your frame together with your phone accordingly until the bubble reach the middle point of the bubble tube. It means that your frame is aligned correctly and parallel to the horizon now.

That’s it!
